About Me
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors with over a decade of experience in mental health treatment, counseling & life coaching. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Addiction Counseling from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, completed in 2013.
My experience in working with substance abuse began as a substance abuse counselor for the Arkansas Department of Community Correction Probation & Parole. Since then I have worked in a range of clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient care, holding roles such as Mental Health Technician, Assessment & Referral Counselor, Program Therapist, and Crisis Interventionist.
Throughout my career, I have focused on providing compassionate, and evidence-based care to individuals facing severe mental health challenges, emotional disorders, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and self-harm behaviors. I also specialize in crisis intervention and have worked with geriatrics, adults, children & adolescents, couples and families.
My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices, tailored to each client's unique needs. I'm committed to creating a supportive and empowering therapeutic environment where you can feel empowered to explore experiences and develop the tools necessary to create meaningful change and sustainable mental wellness.
